The roller crusher is a kind of traditional crushing machine. It is simple in structure, less smashed when crushed, and the shape, size and arrangement of tooth teeth on the roll surface can also be changed according to the properties of the material, so it is widely used in coal, cement, silicate and other industries. This kind of crusher is mainly used in the middle and fine crushing of the ore. According to the number of roller, the roller crusher can be divided into several types, single roll, double roll and multi roll, of which the double roller crusher is the most widely used. The specifications of the roller crusher are expressed by the diameter of the roller D × length L.
Working principle of roller crusher
Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the working principle of the double roller crusher. The two rollers rotate to the opposite direction, and the ore enters two rollers. Due to the role of friction, the ore is crushed by the crushing space between the two rollers. The crushed product is discharged from the gap between the two rolls under the action of self weight. The minimum distance between the two rolls is the width of the discharge mouth, and the maximum size of the crushed product is determined by this.

Structure of roller crusher
Figure 2 is the structure drawing of the double roller crusher. The crusher structure is relatively simple, mainly composed of frame, transmission device, crushing roller, adjusting device and spring safety device.

The frame of the roller crusher is generally made of cast iron, and it can also be made of type steel welding or bolt connection. No matter which way it is made, the frame is required to be strong and strong.
The two rotating rollers on the horizontal shaft are the crusher rollers, which are the working mechanisms of the crusher. The bearing of the roller is movable, and the other of the roller is fixed. The crushing roller is composed of the roller surface, the shaft hub, the cone arc iron and the spindle. The hub center connected with key spindle, outer surface of a cone with cone roller surface. The roller surface is made of high manganese steel or other wear-resistant materials, and three parts such as cone-shaped arc iron, tightening bolts and nuts are fixed together with the axle hub. 3. Transmission device
The two rollers of the crusher are driven by an electric motor through a belt wheel and made to rotate each other. As the movable bearing moves, the tension of the pulley will fluctuate, so the motor is often placed below the movable bearing, so that the direction of the moving bearing is perpendicular to the direction of the connection between the pulley and the motor center, so that the fluctuation of the belt tension can be reduced.
4. Adjusting device
The gap between the two crushing roller is the size of the discharge, It is realized by changing the number of gaskets between the two crushing roller bearings. Fixed bearing movable bearing 2 by spring 5 pressure to the left. In normal conditions, the spring force is sufficient to overcome the crushing force required by the ore. For different ores, the nut on the spring cover can be used to adjust the size of the spring force to meet the different crushing requirements.
5. spring safety device
When the crusher works, the breaking force between the crushing roller is balanced by the tension force of the spring 5. When the crusher is overloaded, the crushing force increases rapidly, the spring is compressed and compels the movable bearing to move laterally, the width of the discharge becomes larger, and the non crushed materials can be discharged. When the non crushed materials are discharged, the movable bearing is restored to the original shape with the help of the spring force, and the crusher can continue to work. Also, the hydraulic mode can be used to automatically return the crusher roller, increase the clearance of the roller, let the non crushed materials fall, and then resume normal work. It can be seen that the tightness of the spring is very important to the normal work of the crusher and the protection of the overload. In addition, when working, the springs are always in vibration state, so it is easy to cause fatigue damage. Therefore, we must check regularly and replace them regularly, so as to ensure the normal work of the crusher.
Double toothed roller crusher
According to the shape of the roller surface, the double roller crusher can be divided into the smooth roller crusher (Figure 2) and the toothed roller crusher. The crushing principle of the smooth roller crusher is mainly crushing, while the crushing principle of the toothed roll crusher is mainly splitting. The smooth roller crusher is mainly used in medium and fine crushing of medium hardness ore, and the toothed roller crusher is mainly used for the coarse and medium crushes of brittle and soft materials. The structure of the double toothed roller crusher is shown in figure 4.
