Permanent magnetic drum

The magnetic drum is also called the magnetic pulley, which has two kinds: permanent magnetic and electromagnetic. Its structure is simple and can be installed directly on the head of the belt conveyer, and can also be configured as a separate dry magnetic separator. In recent years, the rapid development of permanent magnetic drum, its size has developed from 75mm to 350mm, permanent magnet materials composed of magnetic system from ferrite to the rare earth NdFeB magnetic composite magnetic system with neodymium iron boron magnets composed of magnetic system so that the technical performance of magnetic drum continuously improve the separation effect of continuous improvement, constantly expanding the scope of application.

Working principle of magnetic drum

Magnetic material is adsorbed on the top of the drum when it moves to the top of the drum, and it automatically falls off when it goes to the bottom, and the nonmagnetic material falls directly along the horizontal parabola track. It can be used to remove iron from materials and is especially suitable for the preselection of magnetite block ore.

Usage of permanent magnetic drum

The main use of permanent magnetic drum as below:

1)It is used for the pre selection of magnets beneficiation plant,  to remove the waste rocks mixed into the ore, to improve the processing capacity of the plant and to save energy.

2)It is used to recover iron ore from waste rock in mining field and improve the utilization ratio of ore resources.

3)It is used in iron and steel plants to deal with waste steel slag and recover iron.

4)Used for garbage disposal and sorting of useful metals.

1.High strength and high reliability of the mechanical structure guarantee the normal work of the magnetic drum in a variety of harsh environment.
2.Low energy , it can be widely used together with TD-75 and DTⅡ model belt conveyor.

3.Magnetic system is composed of high performance magnetic materials, resistance to demagnetization.

The materials are uniformly fed to the belt. When materials go through the permanent magnetic drum, the non-magnetic and low-magnetic particles will leave the belt surface because of the centrifugal force and gravitation. Meanwhile, strong-magnetic particles are absorbed to the belt by magnetic force and then fall into the magnetic trough when the belt leaving the magnetic pulley.
