Carbon-In-leach (CIL) refers to the gold extraction method using activated carbon to adsorb gold while cyanide leaching is carried out, that is, cyaniding and leaching are carried out in the same tank with carbon adsorption. The CIL process replaces the conventional cyanide leaching, washing and clarifying by leaching, adsorption and gold-loaded carbon desorption. It is a universally recognized method of extracting gold and precious metals in the world.

Application of gold ore CIL


This solution is especially suitable for gold extraction from fine-grained and argillaceous gold ores, and also can be used for gold extraction from flotation gold concentrate and gold tailings of gravity separation. It can also be used to process gold ores with high content of copper, iron, arsenic, antimony and carbon.


Features of gold ore CIL


1. Low investment, small floor space and energy saving.

Cyanide leaching and carbon adsorption in the same tank, less equipments, reduce investment.

The ore particle size is crushed to 10-12mm or less by three-stage-crushing with single closed circuit stage process to reduce the load of the grinding system.

2. High recovery rate

During the process, because leaching and adsorption take place simultaneously, so the gold dissolves quickly and the recovery rate of soluble gold is greatly improved.

3. Use environmentally friendly leaching agents

The use of pollution-free and environment-friendly leaching agents can reduce the investment in subsequent water treatment, protect the environment and reduce the investment.

4. Adopt high efficiency, low energy consumption and fast desorption electrolysis system

This electrolysis system is highly efficient, low energy consumption, and gold-loaded carbon can be quickly desorbed. The produced gold mud is of high grade, and does not need reverse electrolysis, and gold mud extraction is easy. The whole system adopts automatic control, and is convenient to monitor.
