Dewatering workshop arrangement

Sinonine know that thickening, filtering and drying are all dewatering, the plant configuration according to the material properties (such as particle size, density and water content), chemical content and product requirements are different, the dehydration process is divided into two sections, one section and three section dewatering types, and according to the terrain and climate conditions to choose different configurations.

1.One section dewatering configuration scheme

For large size material dewatering, more equipment used are sedimentation tank, dehydration silo, vibrating screen, spiral classifier and so on. These equipment are usually combined with other equipment in the same plant, and one section of dehydration is rarely set up alone.

2. Two section dewatering configuration scheme

The two section of dewatering is usually composed of two operations of thickening and filtration. The general magnetic dewatering tank is usually to replace the thickener  in magnetic beneficiation plant dewatering, and is configuration in the same span whith filter, its platform is higher than the filters in order to make sure to filter off sink bottom gravity. In general, the dewatering of the concentrates in the magnetic separation plant is not usually done by drying. Because of the nearer users, the transportation time of the road is shorter. Figure 1 is the layout of dewatering factory building in a magnetic separation plant.

3.Three section dewatering configuration scheme

The three section of dehydration is usually composed of three operations, thickening, filtering and drying. The filtration and drying equipment in the same factory, should be configured on the platform above the filter drier, filter cake flowed into the dryer; when the filter units, dryer units less, filter and drying is adjacent to the superior independent cross connection, filter cake by mining belt conveyor transport to the dryer.

The dewatering workshop should be configured according to the scale, dewatering process, terrain conditions and climatic conditions, etc., in line with the principles of convenient production and management, small footprint, low investment and low operation cost.

The general layout of thickener is open-air, and fully consider the mutual relation of recurrent thickener underflow and overflow, the design should as far as possible the use of gravity. Thickener severe cold areas, seriously affect the normal work can be considered arranged in the room. Large thickener’s area is large and should avoid the use of interior decoration. Figure 2 is the layout of a copper ore concentrated filter workshop.

The filter is generally located on the platform side of the concentrate bin so that the filter cake is directly unloaded into the concentrate bin. The auxiliary facilities of the filter are usually located in the lower part of the platform. The number of filter stations is large for the beneficiation plant with large concentrates. The plant can be set up separately and close to the concentrate bin.

When the dryer is using coal as a fuel, it should be considered for coal mechanical facilities such as the coal yard, coal hopper, coal feeder and discharge facilities. A good ventilation and dust collecting system should be set up in the dry plant to improve the operating environment and reduce the loss of concentrate.
