Gravity separation workshop arrangement

In a gravity separation beneficiation plant,the gravity separation equipments are usually placed in a same workshop with ball mill or rod mill. The gravity separation beneficiation plant has large density, coarse particle size, complex process structure, large number of equipment and large quantity. Gravity separation has the highest water consumption in all mineral processing methods, so pulp flow is large. Therefore, the configuration design should fully reflect its characteristics, and the main configuration of the mineral processing plant is mainly the following three kinds.

1.Single layer stepped configuration

The advantage of this configuration is simple and clear flow, which is beneficial to the configuration of heavy, large and vibratory equipment. It is suitable for ore of all kinds of granularity. The slope of the terrain requires that the fine grained ore is 10 -20 degrees, and the coarse grained ore is 20 -30 degrees or even larger. The advantages of this configuration are simple plant structure, low investment and fast construction. The disadvantages are that the area is large, the trench system is complex, and it is mainly used for small and medium-sized mineral processing plants. 2.Multilayer stepped configuration

The configuration method is suitable for various density differences and the need for self distribution of ores with coarse particle size. It is mainly used for large scale gravity separation plant, combined process selection plant and small area plant construction. Heavy medium concentrator is mostly used in this form. The advantages of the configuration method are large flexibility, small footprint and centralized management. The drawback is that the pipeline configuration system is very complex, and the cost of building is high, and the demand for artificial lighting is high.

3.Multi layer single step joint configuration

It is necessary to adopt such a configuration method when the high altitude difference is required and the natural terrain conditions are not satisfied. The material flows from the height to the working point, which is suitable for the coarse or coarse inlaid distribution of the ore. The advantage of this scheme is that the number of material lifting is less and the self flow is easily formed; the disadvantage is that the structure of the workshop is complex and the cost is high.
